DAY ONE OF NEW NEIGHBOR
We get so many new neighbors that this place practically has a revolving door, what with the government always breathing down my neck for info and junk, but diary, I’m glad I have you, because holy crap this new kid I can see through my wall is confusing me right the hell up. Like, I get that the government is tightening its hold on everybody and things are really scary right now, but sitting in the corner of the kitchen all day doing nothing? That’s a bit much even for me. Will report back when I’ve got more to say.
DAY TWO OF NEW NEIGHBOR
Alright, it cost me a pack of cigarettes and two bootleg copies of Black Panther on DVD, but I think that kid just plays on his computer all day. Last night I snuck in to turn my hidden camera a little bit more towards his monitor, and now that I can see it, I don’t blame him. Somehow this kid’s getting a whole new game every day or so, to the point that I still might think he’s a spy, though. How else can he afford all these damn games? Also, I was just randomly walking down the stairs and I must’ve pinched a nerve in my foot or something. Super annoying. See you tomorrow, diary.
DAY THREE OF NEW NEIGHBOR
I think I might be starting to lose it, diary. I have been shaken down to my very core, and my whole concept of what my life is has changed. I decided that I needed to confront the computer boy this afternoon, so I actually went over while he were home and tried to chat with someone. Turns out he gets all the games from some site called Chrono.gg where they sell a different game for cheap everyday, but then I also saw that today’s game is called Beholder: Ministerial Bundle, and that for less than five bucks you can play as a conflicted landlord in a police state who chooses how much he’s gonna spy on or take care of his tenants. I bought the game for myself, and I’m better at the game than I am at having this job in real life.
Anyway, I’m gonna go take the weirdest shower ever. See you tomorrow diary. Hopefully we learn from this day and change the way we act next time. Sorry to all my tenants.
