At first glance, William is the lazy college student. He spends his days sleeping in, skipping lectures, drinking with his friends and gathering up courage to talk to Jasmine, who's on the theater committee. But over the last few weeks a mysterious restlessness has come over him. He's distanced himself from his friends, spends his time alone in his room and harbors thoughts that cannot bear the light of day . . .
Slowly, William is coming to realize that the world he lives in is no more than an illusion. The city, the university, the artificial island upon which he lives, all are abominations against nature itself, that need to be undone in order for history to take it's due course. Delve into William's mind as his last links to reality slowly unravel.

"Suddenly I've stopped caring about the people at the other table. I pick up the jar of salt again. The refreshing coolness of the glass trinket fills me with newfound confidence. And as I'm sitting there, an inexplicable urge arises within me to stand up with a loud cry, and chuck the little jar against the wall of the restaurant, just above the table where the they're sitting, so that they're showered by salt and broken glass.
I can clearly picture the fearful looks in their eyes, the girl scared to death, the small guy startled, and the big one with a spasmodic, stupid grin on his face. A tingling triumph starts to bubble through my limbs. I'm breaking out in sweat, and I clench the jar firmly in my fist, as it gives me strength.
The glass between my fingers has fogged up completely."
