"Shadow palettes"
were originally intended to be worn exclusively by cpu-controlled cast members encountered in the
Salt Mines
, an online dungeon crawl minigame hidden within each Pixel Lobby.
It is now possible for players to unlock these palettes for use in all other modes via either of these two conditions:
Purchase this DLC pack to instantly unlock shadow palettes for all current and future characters.
Alternative in-game unlock method: win the
"Apex Predator"
bonus during a Salt Mines run to unlock the shadow palette for the character you played during that run.
"Apex Predator"
is obtained when a player earns enough salt to become the
boss bear
then
defeats all other players
during the
Final Showdown
event.
You must be playing on an
official (blue)
Pixel Lobby server to unlock shadow palettes this way. In the very near future, we plan to extend this capability to
partnered (green)
servers.
